Helping others bring their stories to life is personal to me. My love for storytelling began in childhood because of my mom. She taught me the power of the written word and supported me through the challenges I faced growing up with chronic illness and learning differences.<\/p>

I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus<\/span><\/span> at just four years old. This condition usually appears later in life. Over the years, I was also diagnosed with Chiari Malformation Type 1<\/span><\/span>, Complex ADHD<\/span><\/span>, Persistent Depressive Disorder<\/span><\/span>, Social Anxiety Disorder<\/span><\/span>, Dyscalculia, and Dyslexia<\/span><\/span>. Many of these challenges are connected to chronic illness and the brain fog that comes with it. They shaped how I learned, communicated, and experienced the world.<\/p>

Because of my health, I was homeschooled from kindergarten through high school. My mom was my teacher, encourager, and creative guide. She helped me find learning tools that worked for me. She also made sure reading and writing were not just accessible. They were enjoyable.<\/p>

That love of storytelling carried me through some of the hardest seasons of my life. It also became the foundation of the work I do today.<\/p>

When I decided to pursue editing professionally, I looked at traditional publishing and corporate roles. I quickly realized those paths were not the right fit for me. I did not want to be a distant editor behind the scenes. I wanted to work closely with writers and support them personally.<\/p>

That is how Mountain Girl Editing and Coaching began.<\/p>

The name \u201cMountain Girl\u201d has been my online identity since I was thirteen. It reflects my childhood in a quiet mountain lake community in the Southern Sierra Nevadas. It also represents resilience and perseverance. Those qualities shape the way I approach my work with writers.<\/p>

Through Mountain Girl Editing and Coaching, I help writers who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure where to begin. Many of my clients struggle with ADHD, chronic illness, or the challenges of organizing their ideas. Others simply need encouragement and clear guidance.<\/p>

My approach blends editing with coaching. I provide honest feedback, thoughtful suggestions, and practical tools that help you move forward with confidence.<\/p>

My goal is not only to help you finish one book. I want to help you develop the skills and confidence to keep writing for years to come.<\/p>
