A Special Update

I know that you were expecting part three to the series “From Blank Page to Published Book” but there is a topic that has become pretty big in the last few months and I feel that I need to address it, especially since it really impacts our lives as authors and editors or anyone in the writing sphere. That topic is Artificial Intelligence, AI.

Now, for a long time I was against it and still am to a degree. I believe in the written word and I believe that it is something that needs to be authentic, not something computer generated. But, I have to be honest and let you all know that I have been using it, but not in the way you are thinking.

Yes, I write my own blogs, I don’t computer generate them. Same with the social media content. But, I do use AI to help me edit them. Now, the reason I do this is because I have problems when it comes to writing on certain topics or creating content for a certain audience. Give me a fictional story idea and I can give you a whole chapter within the day. When it comes to marketing or explaining things, that is where I struggle. So, I have turned to AI, but I have done it in a way that I feel like I am not taking anything away from my own voice or my own ideas.

Now continuing on with this series, I will be interjecting ways of using AI to enhance your writing. Not to write for you, but to help you and make writing a bit easier. This is especially for those with ADHD, something I have and know that it does help, and for those that have problems with certain areas of writing and such.

AI is becoming something big and we need to know how to use it without it taking over every aspect of life. I believe I have an idea of how to do that and I would love for you to follow me on this journey of figuring it out.
